A’ Ghàidhlig // Gaelic

Tha fàilte air a h-uile duine a’ Ghàidhlig a chleachdadh ma thogras iad, tron bhùth agam no air post-d, an dà chuid fileantaich ’s luchd-ionnsachaidh.

Chan eil mo chuid Ghàidhlig foirfe idir, ach nì mi mo dhìcheall! Mar sin, ma mhothaicheas tu mearachdan idir, nach leig thu fios dhomh, ’s cuiridh mi ceart iad.

Tha dà amas agam; a bhith a’ cruthachadh rudan snoga, ùra le Gàidhlig, agus a bhith a’ brosnachadh cleachdadh na Gàidhlig san fharsaingeachd.

Thèid gach facal air an làrach-lìn no a’ bhùth air loidhne a sgrìobhadh sa Ghàidhlig an toiseach, le eadar-theangachadh sa Bheurla. (Feumaidh mi ràdh, ged-tà, chan eil an dà earran Gàidhlig ’s Beurla gu tùr co-ionnan.)

Please feel free to use Gaelic with me if you’d like to do that, through my shop or when communicating by e-mail, whether you’re a fluent speaker or a Gaelic learner.

My own Gaelic is far from perfect, but I do my best! So, having said that, if you notice any mistakes at all, please do let me know (break it to me gently!) and I’ll fix them.

I have two main aims with An Sgàthan; to create nice, new cards and gifts using Gaelic words and phrases, and also to encourage the use and normalisation of Gaelic more generally.

Everything that goes on the website or the online shop is written in Gaelic first of all, with a translation in English. (Please note, though, that the Gaelic and English versions do not always say exactly the same thing.)
